Infinity Ward execs fired by Activision, opened lawsuit

So who can honestly say they didn't see this coming after what Modern Warefare 2 turned into?
Anything Activision touches, they milk to death. I'm guessing Infinity Ward didn't like this happening, so they got shafted.

Bobby Kotick's douchebaggery meter just keeps getting higher and higher...

I thought this all had something to do with IW not getting royalties? Of course they don't like that happening :P

hashasu is right the iw guys wanted some of royalties what they were promised and when they asked activision fired them and said something about breaking their contract. someone also suggested that the iw guys were trying to break away from activision and take most of the crew with them

Exactly, the royalties is simply the reason for them filing the lawsuit. I'm saying the reason why they were trying to break away from Activision is because of what they are trying to do to the franchise. If you haven't heard, they are making call of duty the new Rock Band.

Rock Band is published by EA
Guitar Hero is published by Activision

So IW wants to be the new Rock Band by leaving Activision

I never use the word "Irony" correctly, but I believe this qualifies.

Ironic that Activision was a company that broke away from Atari because Atari was becoming too "corporate."

What's ironic is that they screwed over their customers and are now getting screwed over themselves!

Honestly though is it possible that Activision was the one doing the screwing over over customers as well? Who had the final say in the servers thingy?

If that was the case, maybe we will hear some behind the scenes info with this falling out.

That's if Activision doesn't hire an assassin to "remove the problem" before we get to hear it...

Whats even more ironic is that that song doesn't actually contain any irony.
